We work with individuals, families, schools, service providers, and local leaders to promote inclusive practices and accessibility throughout Mesa County. Our community advocacy includes:

Supporting families and individuals in understanding and exercising their rights.
Promoting inclusive practices in schools, workplaces, and public spaces.
Collaborating with community organizations to improve accessibility.
Hosting community conversations to identify barriers and work toward solutions.

Legislative Advocacy

The Arc of Mesa County actively engages with policymakers to shape legislation and public policies that impact people with IDD and their families. We:

Track and share important state and federal legislation.
Meet with elected officials to advocate for the disability community.
Empower self-advocates and families to share their stories with policymakers.
Mobilize our network to take action when critical issues arise.
